Find your Voice through Visual Arts
Students explore different types of art and art techniques as they explore the methods of realism, impressionism, and surrealism. Students will apply their learning in finding their own artistic style!
Whether you want to paint a self portrait, sketch a still life or ink up a comic, this course will give you the tools and confidence you need to begin your art portfolio. The course introduces preferred technique with graphite pencils, oil pastels, watercolors, acrylics, and ink as well as providing a study in color theory, perspective, proportion, face and figure, shading and more.
Students will have a chance to showcase their art to family and friends throughout the year and present their work, in gallery fashion, at our end of year Celebration Performance in June!
