The ballet dancer should learn more than just positions, they should learn how to tell a story and how to make music come alive.
And through proper technique, and the grace and beauty of ballet, they should both inspire and be inspired.
Our Ballet classes are taught with the highest regard for the tradition and artistry of classical ballet while respecting the health and well-being of the dancer.
Our progressive curriculum selects the best principals of dance training by incorporating from French, Vaganova, and American School methods. Incorporating various methods in training, creates a more knowledgeable, versatile dancer who can easily adapt to any choregraphy.
Inspired by New York City's master ballet teacher Finis Jhung (also coach for the boys of Billy Elliot: The Musical), we take the "mystery" out of ballet training. By using a common sense approach and utilizing tools that help students understand the process of movement, our students are able to break down and analyze what they are learning. They learn to use their bodies correctly and safely, while having a deeper understanding of how to perform.
As the student's physical, emotional and mental abilities develop, their class time and frequency increases. This gradual progression allows for each dancer to develop a greater awareness and understanding of technique and artistry.
Imagery and breath is implemented to enhance muscle memory, quality of movement, improved performance, and focus. Emotional maturity and mental stamina also are developed along the way in order to tailor success.
Students will be promoted according to their physical and mental readiness, progress and ability, rather than grade and age alone.
Students age 7+ start in our Foundations Class.
Once a student is approved, they may audition for our Professional Training Program
